David Kidd

(The Law Debenture Pension Trust Corporation plc)
Employer Nominated – Chair of Trustees

David has had the pleasure of being involved with BTB since March 2010 when Law Debenture was appointed as independent Trustee for its pension scheme. He is Chair of the Trustee Board and honoured to lead such a dedicated and hard-working group of Trustees. He represents Law Debenture on eight other pension schemes including DHL, Santander and Syngenta.

His other clients vary enormously in size and complexity. In terms of assets, the smallest is £25m, the largest being over £10bn. David brings a wealth of expertise to his clients; in particular he is an expert/specialist on investment strategy and funding negotiations.

He studied Economics at St Andrews and Oxford. Prior to joining Law Debenture, David spent 25 years in investment management, mainly in the role of chief investment officer. In addition to his Law Debenture duties, David is a non-executive director of two quoted investment trusts and a director of The Golden Charter Trust.

David’s interests outside of a boardroom are gardening and classical music. He has a passion for horseracing and is a member at Cheltenham and Goodwood. He is also a football fanatic – as his season tickets at Falkirk, Oxford United and Cheltenham Town prove.

David has a penchant for quirky ties.
