An opportunity has arisen for a Member Nominated Trustee.

New MNT


Following the Trustees’ invitation for nominations, the selection process has been completed and it has been decided to appoint Mary Chapman as the Scheme’s Member Nominated Trustee (MNT).

The Trustees are pleased to announce the appointment of a new Scheme administrator, Buck, from 1 June 2020.

Update on the new DC section


As active VisitBritain (VB) and VisitEngland (VE) members will be aware, there has been a delay in the implementation of the new Defined Contribution (DC) section and moving VB and VE members into it.

Scheme partial closure takes effect


The BTB Pension Scheme closed to new VisitBritain/Visit England employees from 1 April 2017.

New Secretary to Trustees


Catherine Palarca of Law Debentures has been appointed as Secretary to the Trustees on the resignation of Mark Jelbert of Capita.

Consultation under way on VB and VE Scheme


The consultation process to close the Defined Benefit (DB) Pension Scheme to current VisitBritain and VisitEngland employees has now started.

2016 Annual Report available now


The Scheme’s audited Report & Financial Statements for the year ended 31 March 2016 are now available to view.

Commutation factors


As from February 2016 and having taken advice from the Scheme’s Actuary, the Trustees have put in place new commutation factors.

Extension of Trustee term


The Trustees have decided to extend the term of Member Nominated Trustee, Susan Bruce, for another 18 months.

New Secretary to the Trustee


He takes the places of Andy Mills who served as Secretary for five years.

Sue Garland has been re-elected as a Member Nominated Trustee in the election which closed on 11 December 2015.
