Rob Evans

Robert is the Scheme Actuary to the BTB Pension Scheme. The role involves working closely with the trustees as well as the other advisers and providers: legal, investment and administration.

The Scheme Actuary helps and advises the trustees in several different areas, including calculating the benefit obligations, developing a funding plan to provide member benefits and calculating transfer values.

Robert qualified as an actuary in 2004 and has worked in the pensions industry for more than twenty years. He is scheme actuary to a number of other pension schemes covering a broad range of industries. Robert is an active member of some industry committees, with a focus of how climate change may affect pension provision. He brings this wide experience to the BTB Pension Scheme, helping the trustees protect members’ benefits.

Outside of work Robert is a keen runner, cook and aspiring tennis player.
